Renée Gelinas, M.A.C.P., Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Renée holds a certificate of registration authorizing practice as a qualifying registrant from the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She obtained an honours bachelor’s degree in psychology from Laurentian University and a master’s degree in counselling psychology from Yorkville University.
Renée offers individual therapy, counselling, and support to adolescents and adults (age 14+) for a variety of presenting concerns, including, but not limited to: mood and anxiety, stress management, life changes, self-esteem, relationship issues, and grief. She also has an interest in assisting people with trauma and ADHD. She takes pride in supporting the 2SLGBTQI+ community.
Born and raised in Sudbury, Renée (she/her) is bilingual and offers services in both French and English. She draws from a wealth of life experience, both on a professional and personal level, to support clients on their journey of self-discovery. She takes an integrative approach to therapy and is familiar with applying practices from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) informed treatment modalities. She also utilizes client-centered and mindfulness practices in her work, which create a compassionate, inclusive, and empathetic space to help individuals live a rich and meaningful life.
