Jessica Orazietti, M.A.
Jessica is currently in the process of obtaining supervised post-master’s work experience. Her training includes a master’s degree in Applied Psychology from Laurentian University, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Lake Superior State University. Jessica is involved in research at the clinic and provides psychological assessments, individual counselling, and psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. Jessica takes a cognitive-behavioural approach to therapy with an emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. Jessica strives to provide a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore difficult emotions/conflicts and learn to become effective, autonomous problem solvers. Her research has focused on the Bowenian family systems theory—specifically the concept of differentiation of self and the psychometric measurement and interpretation of such. Other research interests include adult attachments and emotional regulation in intimate relationships, as well as social connections and mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic.
