Alexandre Dionne, M.A.

Alex has been a member of the practice since 2015. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology and Master of Arts (M.A.) in Clinical Psychology from Laurentian University. He holds an award for academic excellence from the Canadian Psychological Association. As a clinician, he conducts and assists with psychological assessments (i.e., forensic-correctional risk assessments, psychoeducational, psychovocational, diagnostic assessments) and provides therapy services for both adults and adolescents. His main clinical interests include psychopathology, correctional and forensic psychology, trauma, substance use, and suicidality. As a scientist-practitioner, Alex also maintains an active research agenda in occupational health and safety. His other research interests include psychopathology and individual differences that contribute to non-suicidal and suicide self-injury and criminal behaviour. Academically, Alex has been invited as a guest lecturer in both French and English at Laurentian University, and he is currently completing a Philosophical Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Rural and Northern Health.
