Alexandra Deck, M.A.

Alexandra is a clinical associate currently completing hours towards registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. She obtained a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Laurentian University. She has a research background investigating different facets of cognitive psychology, including implicit and explicit stereotyping. She has also conducted research on mindfulness and gratitude, and how they may correlate with personality and emotion recognition.

Alexandra engages in cognitive behavioural therapy while integrating other evidence-based interventions with adults and adolescents who present with various mental health conditions, including but not limited to mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety and related disorders, and stress/trauma-related disorders. Alexandra also conducts and assists with psychological and psychoeducational assessments. Throughout her training and professional experiences, she aims to take a compassionate, client-centred approach. She strives to create a safe, welcoming space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported.
